The following comparison is between two summer tyres: the Sava Intensa HP2 and the Toyo Proxes Comfort.
The Sava Intensa HP2 is the successor to the Sava Intensa HP model, with an improved overall performance. It has been rated at 67% in our tests. It unfortunately demonstrates weaknesses in driving safety, and underperforms on both dry and wet roads - factors that led to its somewhat low rating. It also didn't score well in environmental aspects and showed minor weakness in terms of mileage and wear. On the plus side, it is efficient and lightweight. According to Autobild, it ranked 22nd out of 53 tyres tested, and 12th out of 18 in an ADAC test.
The Toyo Proxes Comfort, made in Japan, is a touring tyre that offers dynamic handling in both wet and dry conditions and short braking distances. It also has an exceptionally low rolling noise and a moderate price point. By contrast, it falls short in terms of mileage. Its overall performance score of our tests is 66%. In comparison to the Sava tyre, it scored higher in the Autobild test, ranking 17th out of 53, and placed a respectable 5th in the 18-tyre ADAC test. One of its standout features noted was its superior handling in dry conditions.
In conclusion, while the Sava Intensa HP2 and Toyo Proxes Comfort are quite closely matched in general performance ratings, the Toyo tyre outperformed the Sava in independent tests. The Toyo's superior handling and braking performance, both in dry and wet conditions, are noteworthy. Even though they both have shortcomings in terms of mileage, the advantages of the Proxes Comfort makes it the favourable choice in this comparison.
