The Quatrac Pro 2 achieved the fastest lap time in the snow handling test against four premium UHP all-season competitors. Independent testers noted &#8220;excellent response, stability and controllability under all circumstances.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vredestein attributes the snow grip partly to 3D interlocking sipes at the shoulder blocks. Unlike straight-cut conventional sipes, these are zig-zagged in both horizontal and vertical planes to resist tread block deformation under load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wet_braking_7_advantage_at_IDIADA_Spain\"><\/span>Wet braking: 7% advantage at IDIADA Spain<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applus+ IDIADA conducted dry and wet handling and braking tests on certified asphalt with a defined water depth. The Quatrac Pro 2 led the test group in wet conditions, recording a 7% wet-braking advantage over what Apollo describes as &#8220;one of the segment&#8217;s longest-established competitors.&#8221; Apollo does not name the competitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tyre achieves an EU label rating of <strong>A<\/strong> for wet grip across its entire size range \u2014 Apollo claims this is unique in the UHP all-season segment. These independent results follow the tyre&#8217;s strong showings in <a href=\"https:\/\/reifenlab.eu\/mag\/vredestein-quatrac-pro-2-claims-best-snow-and-wet-braking-across-two-auto-bild-all-season-tests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Auto Bild compact car and SUV all-season tests<\/a>, where it earned joint-second place with an &#8220;Exemplary&#8221; rating. Drivers who want a single tyre year-round and prioritise wet safety \u2014 particularly EV owners sensitive to rolling resistance \u2014 are the primary target audience.
