Vredestein has announced the Quatrac Pro 2, a new ultra-high-performance (UHP) all-season tyre set for a summer 2026 launch. The model replaces the Quatrac Pro and targets the growing segment of drivers who want year-round capability without compromising on performance — particularly relevant for EV and high-powered vehicle owners.

Tread Design and Compound
The Quatrac Pro 2 uses a directional tread with longitudinal grooves and a V-shaped pattern. Three-dimensional interlocking sipes in the shoulder blocks are intended to maintain snow grip while a stable centre rib handles dry braking and wet handling. A multi-pitch tread block sequence is designed to reduce road noise — Vredestein claims an A-rated exterior noise label across the entire size portfolio.
The compound uses what Apollo Tyres describes as a next-generation traction formula combining a unique resin and polymer blend with multi-filler technology. The aim is a broader operating temperature window: flexibility at low temperatures for winter conditions alongside stability at higher temperatures for summer use. The tyre carries a Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certification, confirming it meets minimum winter performance thresholds.
Structure and Specifications
Apollo Tyres engineered a stiffer bead area with a double taper design to maintain consistent bead seating during high-speed manoeuvres — the tyre is speed-rated up to Y (300 km/h). A dedicated belt design optimizes the footprint shape, which Apollo says improves mileage. High Load (HL) variants will be available on selected sizes.

The tyre was developed at Apollo Tyres’ Global R&D Centre in the Netherlands and will be produced at the company’s factory in Hungary. Vredestein has marketed all-season tyres since the early 1990s; the Quatrac Pro 2 is positioned as the successor to the Quatrac Pro.
Daniele Lorenzetti, Chief Technology Officer at Apollo Tyres, said the tyre “exceeded demanding performance targets while delivering superior wet grip, great snow handling, low rolling resistance and high mileage.”
Who Is It For?
The Quatrac Pro 2 is aimed at drivers of high-performance vehicles, including EVs and hybrids, who use one set of tyres year-round. The Y-speed rating and sizes up to 355 section width position it against tyres like the Michelin CrossClimate 2 (★91), Continental AllSeasonContact 2 (★88), and Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3. In AutoBild’s 2025 all-season tyre test, Bridgestone and Continental came out on top — the Quatrac Pro 2 will be one to watch in future independent comparisons.
