The General Tire Grabber GT Plus has been tested by Autobild in two different tyre dimensions with varying results. In the 235/55 R18 dimension, this summer tyre showcased a high level of traction on loose gravel and short braking distances on both wet and dry surfaces. However, some downsides noted include average traction on grass, understeering behavior on wet and dry asphalt, and moderate rolling comfort.
When tested in the 225/65 R17 dimension, the Grabber GT Plus again demonstrated balanced performance with good off-road capabilities, strong traction in sandy conditions, and a low rolling resistance. Nonetheless, it faced similar challenges with understeering behavior on both wet and dry surfaces, and slightly longer braking distances on dry asphalt.
While the overall results for this tyre may seem mixed, it is important to note that it performs well in off-road situations and offers strong traction in various conditions. However, there is room for improvement in terms of its road performance and braking abilities.
General Tire Grabber GT Plus is made in 62 sizes, starting from 195/80 R15 up to 305/30 R23.
